The Mind and Spirit of AŠVA

Rohan Piple

Founder of AŠVA, Certified YOI Coach

In the pursuit of overcoming his mental health struggles, Rohan wrote a thesis on mental health and athletics during his time at Georgetown University, following which he shared his thesis with Ishan Shivanand. It was then the duo decided to create AŠVA.

A Behavioral Health Specialist with a Master’s in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University, Rohan specializes in helping teams and athletes excel on and off the playing field. Rohan is a former collegiate athlete and champion with a deep understanding of the pressures and obstacles an athlete faces daily. Rohan also conducted a scientific study with student-athletes across the globe and headed philanthropic endeavors in East Africa, teaching them the AŠVA protocols.

This first hand insight fuels my passion for aiding professionals in overcoming behavioral health challenges and attaining their utmost potential. I have crafted a performance wellness program that enables individuals to enhance their productivity and personal lives by integrating the key elements of mind, body, and emotion. I have also conducted a significant scientific study involving individuals worldwide, shedding light on the effectiveness of AŠVA protocols. Additionally, I have spearheaded philanthropic initiatives in East Africa, where I have had the privilege of teaching student-athletes the transformative power of AŠVA protocols.

Dr. Ishan Shivanand is an acclaimed mental health researcher, a professor with expertise in non-pharmaceutical non-invasive meditative modalities, and the Founder of Yoga of Immortals (YOI) programs.
Crafted by him through his deep knowledge of contemporary medicine including disease preventive yogic techniques and innovative ancient mindfulness through cognitive & emotional stimulation, they are customized for many healthcare institutes, universities, athletes, and corporations to help enhance performance, reduce stress, and fend off burnout. Having been adopted by and integrated into numerous corporate and healthcare wellness initiatives, Ishan’s innovative and powerful YOI Wellness Programs have not only helped address rising cases of professional burnout but have also helped healthcare organizations support the mental well-being of the many frontline healthcare workers (HCWs) coping with severe psychological problems resulting from and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
