Peer Stories
Let’s hear it from fellow athletes about their journey with us.
Patrick is a Kun Khmer and Muay Thai Coach. He shares his amazement at the positive impact he witnessed among his athletes who took part in the program, especially in focus, stamina, motivation and flexibility
Ranini is a Kun Khmer and Muay Thai fighter. In this video, she shares her athletic journey before and after taking part of the active meditation program. She talks about how she puts into practice the lessons she learned from Ishan Shivanand and how she has benefited from the program.
Not only did I feel the physical impacts of this, but what is truly amazing to see is the mental effects of this program. Being a surfer, breathe is everything and so learning different breathing techniques combined with various yoga poses, has not only improved my breath hold, but it has kept me strong physically and kept my mental game calm. Three massively important things when it comes to the ocean.
The program was very beneficial to my mental and physical performance. After I learned the techniques I was able to implement them into my pre-game routine to give me more energy, and focus, and allow me to access focused aggression. It also helped me after competitions with calming down.
I thoroughly enjoyed the program I experienced through Asva and am thankful for Rohan's attentiveness and consistency with the program. I saw how as the program progressed, there were positive long-term effects in soccer and life that I felt directly correlated with the program. Overall, I felt less stressed, more in tune with my body and mind throughout daily activities, less detached from outcomes in soccer, and started enjoying being present while playing. I felt like before I had put pressure on myself with my sport, but over time while participating in Asva, I felt less emotional with the ups and downs of soccer and had a clearer perspective while still maintaining that competitive edge. Definitely would recommend the program for those serious about adding another level of professionalism to their game/lifestyle. This program is something not only beneficial to my performance in soccer, but to my overall life, so thank you Rohan, and the Asva program!
As a fitness coach, during my stay in football clubs, I always included in my work specific AŠVA exercises for mobility and joint stabilization as well as trunk stabilization. Also, I used to carry out AŠVA regeneration protocols with the athletes daily, with the help of which they would successfully balance between consumption and accumulation of energy and thus eliminate the accumulated lactates in the body much faster. By combining AŠVA exercises for mobility and protocols for regeneration and relaxation, we achieved a complete absence of injuries with a medium-long or long rehabilitation period.
